Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 (depending on experience)

An Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineer is required to work on a wide variety of equipment including splits, multi splits, VRV / VRF’s and chillers on the Air Conditioning side and from small commercial refrigeration to large cold rooms and freezers on the Refrigeration side. The Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineer must be competent working with both refrigeration and air conditioning plant. The Engineer will be involved in a mixture of installations, service, call out and maintenance, should be qualified to NVQ Level 2 or C&G and hold the current 2079 safe handling qualification as a minimum. PASMA, CSCS, SPA, CCNSG, IPAF desirable.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- The role will involve a mixture of installations, service, call out and maintenance, however this role will be better suited to a service / call out engineer who has experience fault finding a wide variety of equipment and problems.
- The Engineer will also be expected to be part of the company call out rota. Call out is separate to the salary and paid in addition depending on hours.
- The Engineer should have a minimum of 3 years experience in an advanced or lead engineer role. The Engineer should also be qualified to NVQ Level 2 or C&G and also hold the current 2079 safe handling qualification as a minimum. PASMA, CSCS, SPA, CCNSG, IPAF etc all desired but not essential as some in house training will be provided.
- Engineers with extensive experience over qualification will be considered, however the 2079 safe handling is a must have qualification.
Candidate Requirements:
competent and able to fault find and fully commission the following:
- Splits / VRV’s / VAV’s and heat recovery units
- DX Application and air handling units
- Chiller and chilled water systems
- Close control systems and humidifiers
- Power and controls
In addition to this a basic knowledge of wet systems and heating systems would be advantageous but not essential.
