NB4291:Electrical Engineer

Salary:             £30,000 – £35,000 (Depending on Experience)

Location:          South East

Position:          Permanent

An Electrical Engineer is required to fault find electrical systems, power and controls and will ideally be a time served engineer with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in installation, maintenance and fault finding. The Electrical Engineer needs to be a self-motivated, autonomous individual with a good knowledge of current electrical systems and design. Knowledge of HVAC systems and controls desirable although not essential as training can be given to the right applicant

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • This role would suit a time served engineer that has a minimum of 5 years experience in installation, maintenance and fault finding. We are looking for an engineer that can fault find electrical systems, power and controls
  • looking for a self-motivated, autonomous individual with good knowledge of electrical systems and design ideally including HVAC systems and controls
  • The Engineer will be expected to have direct client contact, the ability to run installations and maintenance projects and potentially get involved in estimating and small quotation projects.

Candidate Minimum Requirements:

  • C&G Part 1 or equivalent in electrical installation and theory
  • C&G Part 2 or equivalent in electrical installation and theory
  • C&G AM2 or equivalent in electrical installation and theory
  • C&G 17th Edition wiring regulations
  • Experience reading electrical drawings and able to follow control circuits.
  • 5 years plus installation experience
  • 5 Years plus Fault finding / some HVAC controls experience preferred
  • Working towards or preferred other qualifications:
  • C&G NVQ level 3
  • C&G Test and Inspect 2391-1
  • C&G Test and Inspect 2391-2
